Our Staffs

Pacific Care Services strongly believes that well trained staff members become more confident and are able to offer a better quality service. All staff members are involved in all aspects and issues relating to their training programme, thus ensuring that their training needs are met.

Our aim is to provide high quality, reliable services that meet the needs of individuals and are effective in enabling service users to remain in their own homes. All of our care workers are subject to reference checks, including Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS). The company’s most valuable assets are the Workers. For this reason, all staff members are involved in the development of service policies, as required, in order for them to have a better understanding of what is expected of them in practice. We are based in Barking & Dagenham and operates throughout the whole of Essex and London.

Training

All new employees will attend induction training before they start working independently with service users, which includes some time being trained by a senior care worker on site. It is our policy to continually train and supervise all employees during their employment.

Not only that, we carefully recruit only the best caring staff through an extensive recruitment process, and then constantly monitor the progress of all employees as standard.

Recruitment & Selection Process

The following points are the recruitment process we follow: a) Applicants are given detailed application forms to complete and face to face interview is conducted upon completing the application form b) Our staff are thoroughly vetted during the recruitment processes to ensure that they have the right skills attitude and personality for the jobs. c) After interviewing we request two written references for each applicant before formally recruiting them onto our books d) We conduct online Enhanced DBS checks on all our staff e) New recruits need to attend our training on the Common Induction Course and also the company briefing where they are briefed on the ethics of the company and the quality of service we require from them to deliver to our clients. Certificates are issued at the end of the induction course. f) Our Care/Support Workers need to have NVQ/QCF Level 2 or its equivalent or should be in the process of working towards achieving NVQ/QCF Level 2 or 3 with Pacific Care Services Training Solutions.
